Peter Hollinger

Barrister and Solicitor

Peter has practiced law in northern Ontario since 1982, following his graduation from the University of Ottawa in 1981.
Peter has a varied legal practice, including substantial litigation experience. He represents small businesses, First Nations, organizations and individuals on a variety of legal issues.

Peter has done extensive work in Aboriginal Law, including advising various First Nations, Tribal Councils, Provincial Territorial Organizations and Aboriginal Police Services Boards throughout Northwestern Ontario. He has experience in land claims, Impact Benefit Agreements, Federal Court Applications, civil litigation on behalf of First Nations, and economic development work for First Nations.

In his personal life Peter is an avid outdoorsman. He views his legal career as a way of being able to help protect the natural environment of Northwestern Ontario, while ensuring that development is done in a way that benefits First Nations and northern communities.
